- OUR APPROACH TO TEACHING -
Our teaching methods aim at developing the student's communication skills (oral and written), through active interaction from the very first day. All our classes are conducted mostly in the target language to give students the maximum exposure to the language and each grammar topic we teach is immediately contextualized in the conversation.
The content and methodology of our courses conform to the very latest research on modern language teaching and our tutors are periodically retrained in the most up-to-date teaching techniques.
- Beginners 1 -
CONVERSATIONAL TOPICS:
After this 20 hours (10 wks once a week or 5 wks twice a week) course you will be able to sustain a simple conversation in the target language. More specifically you will be able to:
- Introduce and talk about yourself
- Book a table in a bar, restaurant and order drinks and food
- Getting around: asking for directions, buying transportation tickets etc.
- Talk about what you like and what you don't like
- Book a room in a Hotel and get by on holidays
GRAMMAR:
you will have learned the essential elements of grammar in order to proceed to the next level of beginners 2. In particular you will be familiar with

Gender and number of words (nouns and adjective)
- articles and prepositions
- agreements between nouns and adjectives.
- present tense of regular verbs
- present tense of most commonly used irregular verbs and of reflexive verbs

- Beginners 2 -
This level is designed for those who have followed the previous term in our school as beginners 1. It is also suitable for those who come from other schools and backgrounds so long as they have covered the topics listed in our beginners' course plan.
It's main objective, during these 20 hours (10 wks once a week or 5 weeks twice a week) is to revised and consolidate the language learnt in the previous term and to extend the students' conversational skills by enabling them to talk also about their past.
CONVERSATIONAL TOPICS:
The course content will aim at developing the conversation and widening the vocabulary enabling the students to:
- talk about your past life (what have you done yesterday, last year, talk about your CV etc.

describe a place, a house, a city
- describe people both physically and psychologically
- invite someone out for a drink/dinner/movie etc.
- talking about your family and friends
- expressing your opinion about facts of life
GRAMMAR:
- Introduction to the Past Tense regular and most common irregular verbs
- Reflexive Pronouns
- Main Prepositions
- Main adverbs
- Some of the most common idiomatic expression

- Elementary -
The course's aim is to enable students to sustain a more articulate conversation and to clearly express themselves in practical daily life situations. During these 20 hours (10 wks once a week or 5 wks twice a week) students will also gain a further insight into the target language's society and culture.
CONVERSATIONAL TOPICS:
After this course you will be able to sustain a reasonably broad conversation in the target language
- talking about your past life
- expressing your opinion on different topics in a more complex way
- describing your childhood and describing accurately any situation in the past
- stating what you will do in the immediate future (future tense)
GRAMMAR:
The main grammar structures covered at this level will be:

Revision and consolidation of Past Tense
- Introduction of Future Tense
- Simple Prounouns

Fine tuning the use of the past tenses

Use of most common idiomatic expressions

- Intermediate -
This course's aim is to enable students to sustain an articulate conversation, to clearly express themselves and to understand native speakers. During these 20 hours (10 wks once a week or 5 wks twice a week) students will also gain a further insight into the society and culture of the target language
CONVERSATIONAL TOPICS:
After completing this level you will be able to sustain an articulate conversation including:
- making a proposition
- making a hypothesis
- talking about your desires, wishes and intentions
- expressing your plans for the future
You will also be able to read and comprehend simple articles from magazines or newspapers, to write simple letters or email in the target language.
GRAMMAR:
The main grammar structures covered at this level will be:
- Revision and consolidation of Past Tense

Revision and expansion of Future and introduction of Conditional Tense

Combined pronouns

Use of more complex idiomatic expressions
- Comprehension of some "slang" expressions

- Upper Intermediate -
CONVERSATIONAL TOPICS:
After completing this level you will be able to
- express your doubts and hopes about situation
- express your personal view on different matters
and you will be able to refine your practical conversational skills by using the most suitable tone and register for the situation. During this course, sources from real target language will be used such as: Movies, Television Programme, Newspaper etc.
GRAMMAR
main grammar structures covered at this level will be:
- Subjunctive present
- Trapassato Prossimo (Past Perfect) ex: I had eaten etc..

Relative pronouns
Weekend Crash Course: 8 hours
BEGINNERS LEVEL: This course is especially designed by our expert team of tutors in order to maximise the learning process in a short period of time.
The weekend will be divided in 10 sections each deviced to enable the student to tackle a daily life practical situation in the target language. More specifically, during the 8 hours students will learn
- how to introduce themselves and ask the same info to another person,
- how to echchange greetings
- how to order food and drink
- how to ask for directions
- how to buy a transport ticket (train, bus, etc.)
- how to do some shopping (clothes, food, souvenirs)
The student will also gain knowledge of the basic grammar functioning
of the language should they wish to continue learning in a future course.
